Win a trip to Japan with the Setouchi Tourism Authority

The Setouchi Tourism Authority has launched a new e-learning platform designed to aid the training and development of agents across a growing product base.

Through the portal, agents can use interactive maps to be guided through the Setouchi region in West Japan, with key information highlighted in each location. Each course explores the prefecture and the best places to experience covering themes such as: Adventure and Experience; Art and Culture; Heritage and History; Food and Drink; Sea and Nature; and Where to Stay.

There are eight courses in total; an introduction to the Setouchi region which upon completion will then unlock the seven individual prefecture courses for further learning. Additional content will also be released throughout the next year, relating to different aspects from within the Setouchi region, as well as newsworthy updates.

The Setouchi region includes the seven prefectures of Hyogo, Okayama, Hiroshima, Yamaguchi, Tokushima, Kagawa and Ehime. Known for its modern art and sculptures, design in the region includes Naoshima, Japan?s Art Island, and Miyajima ? the shrine of Itsuku-shima standing in the sea. Home to four UNESCO World Heritage sites, Setouchi is also known for its quality produce, such as Kobe beef, Hiroshima oysters, traditionally-made udon noodles in Kagawa, and 275 Sake breweries. The region encompasses the Seto Inland Sea, which is one of the most prominent multi- island seas in the world.

A competition run by Setouchi Tourism Authority is further offering agents the chance to win a place on a fam trip to Japan, taking place at the end of November. Agents just need to sign up to the training platform and complete the short introductory course to be entered into a draw. The trip will be in partnership with British Airways, which is celebrating the launch of its new direct flight to Osaka this month. There will also be further opportunities to win places on the trip throughout the year.
