Virgin Atlantic and Flybe have added a new route to their codeshare agreement.

Virgin Atlantic flights from Manchester will now seamlessly connect to and from Glasgow, meaning that Scottish travellers now have more access to the US and the Caribbean.

The latest addition to the partnership includes the Flybe route between Manchester and Glasgow, opening up all of Virgin Atlantic?s Manchester routes to customers travelling from the Scottish city for the first time as part of the codeshare.

Available to book now, seven long-haul destinations are now offered including Barbados, New York, Las Vegas and San Francisco. Fares between Glasgow and San Francisco are from ?486, between Glasgow and Boston from ?383 and between Glasgow and Barbados from ?538.

Roy Kinnear, Flybe?s chief commercial officer, said: ?We are delighted that this latest extension of our valued codeshare partnership with Virgin will bring even more of the world closer to Scotland travellers. It gives both airlines increased network reach and reinforces our commitment to provide our customers with convenient seamless ?One Stop to the World? connections from their local airport.?
