Hurtigruten to mark autumn arrival in Norway

Hurtigruten has launched a new ?Autumn Gold? theme, celebrating the best things about the season in Norway.

?

Guests travelling with the cruise line between September 1 and October 31 can experience their journey under the new theme.

Highlights include a new ?A Taste of Norway? excursion, offering guests the chance to explore the Hj?rundfjord region, visiting the village of Urke before continuing on to Lake Lyngnst?yl. The next stop is the Hotel Union in ?ye which was built in 1891, two years before the cruise line began its service along the Norwegian coast

Food will play an important role, with the on board menu being tailored to the seasonal delicacies of the regions the ships visit.

Music will also be a focal point. For example, in Bergen, passengers can relax to music performed by the Grieg Academy prior to departure, while in Troms?, students of the local music conservatory come on board and in Vads?, Sami and Russian-inspired songs are performed.

Three new excursions are available, including a trip through the Trondheim fjord to the island of Munkholmen, a ?Sami Autumn? excursion travelling between Kj?llefjord and Mehamn and an ?Arctic Bushcraft? excursion in Kirkenes.

Prices for a Classic Round Voyage in October lead in at ?1,398 per person.
