St Kitts tourism offers another virtual happy hour with cocktails next week

After the first successful virtual Happy Hour session last week, St Kitts is gearing up for the second session of cocktail making tutorials for UK travel agents, on June 4, at 4:30pm (BST)

The first session, run by global rum ambassador Ian Burell, received positive feedback from the participating agents, who joined from all over the UK, to connect over a shared interest in delicious cocktails and the Caribbean.

Agents were taught, how rum is made and the brands that are made in St Kitts, and then, how to make four Kittitian-inspired rum cocktails.

The cocktails included a Kim Collins (named after living legend and St. Kitts Kim Collins, who won the World Championship in the 100m sprint in 2003), the tropical Basseterre Breeze (which shares it name with the historic capital town of St Kitts, Basseterre), and the iconic Ting with a Sting (emulating the electric vibes of Frigate Bay beach bars). The fourth, as requested by an agent, was a new take on the much-loved Espresso Martini, which was made instead with rum and called the Espresso Rumtini.

Agents learned more about St Kitts as a destination and what makes it different from the other Caribbean islands, and some interesting facts in the Q&A round.

To register for the next episode, tour operators and travel agents can write to uk@stkitttstourism.kn. Details of Zoom video conference will be shared on mail. Registration is free.
