Regent plans new luxury Russian cruise for 2015

Newly built for 2015, Regent Holidays? Volga Dream II will set sail in 2015 carrying 160 passengers and 69 crew.


There are 81 cabins in total over four passenger decks, all of which can be reached by lift or stairs. Each cabin has large picture windows with certain cabin types featuring private balconies. All cabins have air-conditioning, a mini-bar, safety deposit box, telephone, and flat screen TV featuring international satellite programming and films as well as various radio and music channel options. Facilities on board include a restaurant, lounge, library, gift shop, viewing area in front of the Captain?s Bridge, an outside bar, tea/coffee station, lift, fitness centre and outside seating areas.


The operator will be offering Volga Dream Gold and Platinum itineraries, both of which are 13 days with a few variations and commence from June 18. The itineraries, ideal for art-lovers and historians, begin in Moscow and finish in St Petersburg. Along the way, guests will stop at some of Russia?s most iconic cities, through old chapels and monasteries, to witness murals and frescoes steeped in Russian history. Other excursion highlights include a sailing trip on the Tsar?s former fishing grounds, The White Lake, and a tour around Moscow?s Tretyakov Art Gallery.


Prices start from ?3,315 per person, based on two adults sharing, and include all meals on-board, flights, transfers and a full sightseeing programme with entrance fees and English speaking guides.
