Regent Seven Seas Explorer Sam Deadman trade marketing manager

Regent creates new trade marketing manager role

Regent Seven Seas Cruises has created a new position of trade marketing manager, international and made a number of promotions to its Southampton-based sales and marketing teams.

Sam Deadman takes up the new role, returning to the company having previously worked for the company from 2011 to 2016. As trade marketing manager, international, Deadman will be responsible for all activities relating to travel trade engagement, working closely with the cruise line's Regent’s sales department.

She said: “I am delighted to be back in the cruise industry, it’s a very special sector of travel and has some of the most talented travel professionals. We have some big plans to increase engagement with the travel trade with the aim of increasing Regent’s brand awareness and the number of luxury partners we work with.”

Also, Paul Beale has been promoted from head of sales UK to senior director of sales UK, while Ed Lang has been promoted to senior tour operators and groups manager. Caroline Smith was promoted to senior director, international marketing.

Graham Sadler, managing director, Regent Seven Seas Cruises, added: “Regent Seven Seas Cruises is a company that recognises and rewards its employees for their hard work, and I am thrilled that we can celebrate Caroline, Ed and Paul’s successes with these well-deserved promotions.

“I am also delighted to be working with Sam again, and am very excited at the prospect of increasing our engagement with the travel trade. With the launch of Seven Seas Splendor on the horizon, it’s really important for us to tell them of the benefits of working with Regent, not least because we offer some of the highest commission margins in the cruise industry.”
