Pure Luxury expands 2020 programme with focus on sustainability

Pure Luxurys 2020 programme comes with a raft of new luxury product in best-selling destinations and an expanded selection of upmarket cruise packages.

Following on from its 2019 selection, Gold Medal?s luxury sister brand features more dedicated cruise itineraries from the likes of Silversea, Seabourn and, Regent Seven Seas.

Across the programme, the operator has added 37 new properties, with much coming from destinations that are most requested by holidaymakers. Examples include an increased South Africa safari choice, with the addition of Sir Richard Branson?s exclusive Ulusaba Private Game Reserve, the five-star Leopard Hills Lodge at Sabi Sands and the Shamwari Game Reserve?s new Sindile Lodge, which boasts lion and leopard reserves funded by the Born Free Foundation.

Nick Hughes, sales director of the operator, said: ?Feedback from our agent partners has played a major part in the shaping of our 2020 Pure Luxury programme. What has come through clearly is that they wanted even more great product in established destinations and also more emphasis on product that had genuine ethical credentials. Sustainability is a big part of the luxury experience for clients and we are aiming to meet their expectations as far as possible with these new additions.?

Examples of this focus include the inclusion of 1 Hotels in New York (Central Park and Brooklyn) and Miami (South Beach). The eco-friendly hotel company puts sustainability at the heart of operations, with ?green? construction, the funding of local community projects and fair-trade food sourcing contracts. Meanwhile, the brochure also features the new Hammock Cove, Antigua, a new adult-only boutique property overlooking a protected bay.

Ongoing strong performance of Thailand sees the introduction of Pattaya for the first time, with the addition of the ocean view InterContinental Pattaya. The newly-opened InterContinental Hayman Island offers guests the chance to island-hop, scuba or private yacht charter their way around the Whitsundays and Great Barrier Reef.

Hughes added: ?Our expanded luxury cruise offering is a very important milestone. We are working with brands that only want to be with the best, so agents can book with confidence in what we are doing in the luxury space. The brochure shows a selection of five-star itineraries, though all are available on the system. This is a great starting point for retailers looking to build amazing pre- or post-cruise packages.?

The expanded offering comes on the heels of the operator?s fully transactional agent-facing website, launching this month. The site, which features selected luxury packages to book, also gives agents the chance to find the latest offers and incentives and download luxury posters for their stores.

The new brochure is launched on December 12, with copies being delivered to agents. The brochure can also be ordered via TradeGate or viewed online at www.pureluxuryholidays.co.uk.
