Malta Kavalenkava AdobestockMalta has announced it will launch the first ever Nickelodeon Treasure hunt between 13-18 April 2019.

In time for the Easter Holiday Break, the series of themed trails will keep families entertained, with the opportunity to spy SpongeBob at Bikini Bottom (aka the National Aquarium, learn to duel with Nella the Princess Knight at St James Cavalier, enjoy Pizza with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and see PAW Patrol at the Esplora Science Centre.

The week will kick off with SpongeBob and friends performing in a live musical spectacle at the open air Pjazza Teatru Rjal venue. Also as part of the entertainment on offer, there is a chance to seek out treasure and engage in interactive games. Kids can meet Nickelodeon's favourite characters hidden in iconic locations, as well as visit a pop up Nickelodeon multi-media exhibition and workshop hub at St James Cavalier.

The Maltese government is seeking to offer more family friendly events in the country and the launch of the Nickelodeon Treasure Hunt forms part of a wider plan to increase the number of these events and experiential tourism across the islands.

However, Malta is not only a destination that targets families. The country has also positioned itself as a destination for millennials. For music lovers, Malta hosts a number of music festivals, such as the Isle of MTV Malta concert which has taken place in the country for the past 11 years. While for outdoor enthusiasts the country offers various adrenaline filled activities, such as professional shooting.
