Jewel Changi shows the sky?s the limit when its comes to layovers

Singapore?s latest icon and aviation-lifestyle destination - Jewel Changi Airport - has officially opened its doors to the world.

With a construction cost of approximately ?951million, the new development within the airport referred to as ?Jewel? comprises ten storeys and an area of 137,000sq.m, all under a glass and steel facade, and directly connects to Changi Airport?s Terminals 1, 2 and 3.

The complex features a lush Forest Valley containing thousands of trees and plants and, taking centre stage, a 40m high Rain Vortex and the world?s tallest indoor waterfall.

Surrounding this are more than 280 retail stores and eateries, as well as Jewel?s own 130-room hotel, YOTELAIR Singapore Changi Airport. Passengers will also enjoy the convenience of early check-in for their flights with baggage storage facilities.

The topmost level of Jewel will feature a Canopy Park, with play attractions, gardens, walking trails, and dining outlets, alongside three further attractions - Sky Nets, Canopy Mazes and Discovery Slides - planned for a second phase opening in mid-2019.
