Innsbruck for non-skiers as well as snow bunnies

Tourism is raising awareness about the destination as a place where non-skiers, as well as powderhounds, can enjoy a winter getaway.

For nonskiers, there are city sights, shopping and attractions such as Swarovski Crystal World. From mid-November through to January, the city has seven festive markets, including Christmas Magic in the Old Town (Nov 15-Dec 23), Light and Modern Maria Theresien Street (Nov 25-Jan 6), Advent at the Market

Square (Nov 15-Dec 23), Christmas Atmosphere at Hungerburg (Nov 16-Dec 23), St. Nikolaus (Nov 22-Dec 23), Christmas Magic in Wilten (Nov 25-Dec 21) and the Kaiserweihnacht am Bergisel (Nov 22-Dec 22).

Guests interested in history can explore the city's rich and vibrant history. It boasts cultural gems such as the Hofkirche Court Church, the Hofburg Imperial Palace and Ambras Castle, and the Golden Roof.

The destination is easily accessible with direct flights from major UK airports, under two hours. The airport is a 10-minute bus ride from the city centre.
