European Waterways? hotel barge cruise in Scotland and France begins this weekend

Hotel barge operator European Waterways has announced that two charter cruises in Scotland and France will set sail on August 1 and August 2 respectively.

While the 12-passenger Spirit of Scotland will be cruising along the Caledonian Canal, Loch Ness and the Highlands through, the smaller Finesse will be visiting Southern Burgundy with eight passengers.

Cruises for six nights can be booked as whole barge charters, or individual cabin bookings, which include private transfers, comfortable, air-conditioned accommodation in en-suite cabins, fresh, locally-sourced gourmet meals cooked by the on-board master chef, paired with regional wines, free on-board amenities, such as bicycles and hot tub, an open bar stocked with wines, and drinks, and excursions with private transportation and guides. Travel agents who book now will receive a 10% commission.

Derek Banks, managing director of European Waterways, said, ?We are looking forward to welcoming guests aboard. At this particularly challenging time, we are experiencing considerable interest in the private chartering of our luxury barges, which can accommodate just 6 to 20 passengers that enables our clients to travel in the safety of small numbers. They are ideal for families and small groups of friends, in search of a private escape or those seeking a small-group experience with like-minded travellers when booking individual cabins. For 2021, we are expecting a normal operating season and we are currently offering 10% off charters and cabins on selected spring cruises.?

He added, ?We are delighted to introduce our new flexible booking policy amendments, offering our valued guests the opportunity to reschedule 2020-2021 cruises up to 30 days prior to departure, when certain government regulations prevent travel.?
