Scandinavia

Encourage clients to explore the great outdoors in Scandinavia

Scandinavia is encouraging agents to highlight last-minute summer holiday bookings to the destination as it has a range of new tours still with availability for the coming weeks, including the six-week school holiday.

They range from a traditional Swedish summer holiday, ideal for families, to a castle stay in Demark, with prices leading in at ?1,130 per adult and ?600 per child for a week in Sweden.

As an idea of tour options, a new seven-night ?Sommarhagen and Stockholm? fly/drive break to Sweden is ideal as an outdoor activity holiday for families with young children.

After arriving in Stockholm, guests will make their way to Sommarhagen, a traditional red house and former vicarage in the wilderness of ?sterg?tland. Set amongst lakes, meadows and forests, the small hotel provides an ideal base from which to explore the area.

A wide variety of different activities are available including horse riding, canoeing, cycling, walking, swimming in a lake and wildlife watching. For younger children, Tumbo Farm is next door and features cows, sheep, chickens, horses, rabbits and other small animals.

After five nights, the remaining two are spent in the capital Stockholm, home to Skansen open-air museum, complete with wooden buildings, Nordic animals and an aquarium.

Prices lead in at ?1,130 per adult and ?600 per child including flights from Heathrow, seven nights' breakfast accommodation, car hire with unlimited mileage and entrance to the Skansen open-air museum in Stockholm. The tour departs daily until September 30.
