Contiki introduces Africa trips for millennial adventurers

Contiki is introducing a new set of trips to Southern and Eastern Africa with a move to luxury safari tents and lodges for the 18-35 year old traveller of today.

While the brand has grown its trips across Europe, Latin America, Australia, New Zealand, Asia and North America, the announcement marks the company’s first new region since launching Latin America in 2010, and represents the growing footprint of the millennial traveller seeking unfiltered adventure.

Four new trips will allow 18-35 year old clients to explore South Africa, Tanzania, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Kenya, plus five extension trips to climb Mt Kilimanjaro, relax on the beaches of Zanzibar or get up close to Gorillas in Uganda.

Accommodation is a highlighted point of strong differentiation. In contrast to traditional camping, the youth travel provider has selected renowned properties that offer the creature comforts of home, including Sentrim Hotels and Lodges. So whether staying in hotels, safari lodges or permanent luxury safari tents, clients can look forward to comfortable beds, en-suites, patios and swimming pools after their day of adventure.

The trips are on sale now, starting from £1,329 per person for a seven-day ‘Kenyan Highlights’. Add-On trips start from £250 per person for the four-day ‘Zanzibar Resort Escape’. Departures begin operating from April 7, 2019 for the 11-day ‘Cape, Safari and Falls’.

A new module with further information on the product has also been uploaded to ContikiU on the TTC Agent Academy.
