CMV offers Amazon adventure

Cruise & Maritime Voyages (CMV) is offering the opportunity to plan ahead for an adventure of a lifetime on a voyage to the Amazon.

Marco Polo sails from Bristol Avonmouth on a 42-night voyage to the Amazon, Cape Verde, West Indies and the Azores on January 5, 2021.

CMV offers a more traditional and leisurely style cruise experience with a fleet of smaller to mid-sized ships accessible to more ports of call. A smaller ship like Marco Polo is ideal for sailing up the Amazon and exploring the harder to reach villages such as the remote fishing villages of Boca Da Valeria and Alter do Chao.

Marco Polo sails from Bristol Avonmouth and calls in Ireland, Spain, Portugal and Cape Verde before crossing the Atlantic to the mouth of the Amazon. Marco Polo will sail up the Amazon and call at six different ports of call in Brazil before sailing on to the West Indies calling at French Guyana, Trinidad & Tobago, Barbados and St Lucia with final calls in the Azores before returning to Bristol Avonmouth.

The Amazon rainforest itself will be the highlight of Marco Polo?s Amazon Adventure, home to 10% of the world?s known biodiversity and thousands of fascinating species including pink river dolphins, sloths, anacondas and caiman to name just a few. On this incredible voyage sailing to the infamous ?les du Salut, sun-splashed islands in the West Indies, Cape Verde and the Azores, passengers will cruise the mighty Amazon and discover the largest tropical rainforest and most diverse ecosystem on earth.
