Casa de Campo introduces equine therapy packages for women

Casa de Campo Resort and Villas in the Dominican Republic is offering a seven-night holiday that includes the four-night retreat where women and horses are brought together along with an Equine Gestalt Coach.

This therapy type is becoming increasingly popular in the UK and worldwide with Hollywood stars Ben Affleck and singer Selina Gomez among those who have sought equine assistance as part of a wider therapy programme. They are not alone, with the Global Wellness Institute projecting that wellness tourism will reach $919 billion by 2022, highlighting a key trend to combine a holiday with wellness activities.

Devon Combs has partnered with the resort to offer a retreat for up to 12 women, from April 13-17. Her aim for the retreat is to help women find clarity and purpose through the healing power of horses.

She said: “I've experienced the healing power of horses first-hand. Now I bring women and horses together in a safe space where I teach people how to let go of self-sabotage and pick up the reins of their lives. The Unbridled Retreat is for women who want to get unstuck, gain clarity, and reconnect with themselves. I specialise in helping them get clear on where they're headed, and find the courage to move forward in their lives, while bonding with a supportive group of like-minded women.

“I'm excited to offer the Unbridled Retreat at Casa de Campo. Their beautiful equestrian centre is the perfect setting - the magic of this 7,000-acre resort and the healing power of horses will provide profound breakthroughs for women seeking positive change.”

While on-site, participants will be able to enjoy all the facilities at the resort – they can relax on the sandy beach, go paddle-boarding, take a boat trip to a deserted island, kayak down the river, take a pottery lesson or relax in the spa.

Also on offer are a 370-slip Marina & Yacht Club, three championship golf courses and tennis centre with 13 courts.

The five-star resort features 247 rooms and suites in addition to numerous villas with private pools. All hotel and villa guests are provided with complimentary golf carts to explore the lush tropical grounds.

A seven-night holiday including return British Airways flights from London Gatwick on April 12, private transfers and seven nights on all inclusive basis in a Superior Casita room priced from £5,175 per person (based on two sharing).  The price includes three days of equine encounters, unlimited horseback rides and English or Western style riding lesson.
