BodyHoliday announces yoga retreats

BodyHoliday will host a series of Yoga Retreats this February and March 2019, designed for yogis and yoga lovers of all levels of ability, to leave guests feeling re-energised and rejuvenated.

The retreats at the health and wellness resort in St. Lucia are designed around Ayurvedic medicine, one of the oldest holistic healing treatments. Ayurveda is based on the belief that optimum health and wellness is achieved through a delicate balance between the body, mind and soul. The resort says ?give us your body for a week and we?ll give you back your mind?.

The seven-day retreats will run February 23 ? March 2, 2019, and March 30 ? April 6, covering a range of styles of yoga, including Hatha Vinyasa, Sivananda, Ashtanga and Yoga Nidra, for guests of all abilities.

The retreat will be hosted by Hollie Bailey, the resort's retreat specialist and wellness advisor, who specialises in Vinyasa Flow. Hollie will guide guests through their journey, with daily workshops that focus on a deeper understanding of correct breathing, yoga philosophy, meditation and yogic food classification, addressing correct posture and good diet for maximum physical and mental benefit. Guests will experience improved flexibility, muscle tone and strength, improved posture and a deeper knowledge of the many aspects of the world of Yoga.

Designed to help guests recharge, each retreat offers a restorative daily programme of tailor-made treatments and activities. All attendees will have access to the resort?s BodyScience clinic and its facilities, including an Infra-Red sauna, known for its detoxing benefits, as well as improving circulation and promoting relaxation. Prior to arrival, attendees will have a one-to-one consultation to ensure that they achieve the full benefits of the retreat and all treatments and activities will be tailor-made.

The retreats will be hosted at Villa Firefly, a five-bedroom, two suite luxury villa, nestled in the tropical gardens of the resort overlooking the Caribbean Sea.  The villa has capacity for up to 10 guests and there is also the option of the privacy of a hotel room adjacent to the villa. It can host a maximum of 12 participants per retreat, ensuring an intimate and personalised experience for friends or couples holidaying together.

BodyHoliday offers an extensive programme of classes and activities, including training with Olympic athletes, quadrathlons and assault courses. It also has an award-winning wellness centre, with 33 treatment rooms and indulgent experiences from highly trained massage and beauty therapists.
