Avalon Waterways announces 2019 programme & all-suite European fleet

Avalon Waterways has announced its 2019 cruise programme including an all-suite European fleet, an extension of its Active Discovery offering and a host of new itineraries for clients to choose from.

The full 2019 cruise programme is now on sale and the company is offering an ?early booking price pledge? so that agents can guarantee their customers the best deal. Should guests or agents find a better deal elsewhere at any point ahead of their sailing, Avalon will refund the difference.

The river cruise line has also extended its ?Active Discovery? programme from two rivers (Rhine and Danube) to three in 2019 (Rh?ne) with itineraries designed to allow for more time in port as well as a choice of excursions for varying interests and fitness levels.

Janet Parton, sales director for the river cruise line, said: ?We are thrilled to be launching a whole host of new itineraries and active experiences for agents to be able to offer their customers in 2019. For the first time, Avalon's entire fleet will also be made up of suite ships giving our guests exclusive access to the industry?s only open-air balconies and beds facing the incredible views for which river cruising is famous.?

The addition of the new ship, Avalon Envision, will guarantee the ?suite ship? experience for all passengers including panoramic sliding glass doors that span the length of the cabins and open up the room to views.

With the refined -all-suite fleet comes the introduction of ?Avalon Choice? ? a new service approach providing guests with the flexibility on how to spend their time during the cruise. The new approach categorises daily excursions into three classifications allowing guests to tailor their holiday to their own interests and activity level. These include: ?Discovery? for specialist interests such as cooking classes and painting workshops; ?Active? including options such as guided jogging tours, cycling, paddling and hiking; and ?Classic? with guided explorations of destinations visited.
