Arena Travel have expanded their agency sales team and are poised to launch an online portal for agents in early 2020 in a bid to support existing trade partners and expand the reach of their key brands around the UK.
With a focus on The River Cruise Line and Arena Rail Holidays brands, the company plans to grow their network of agents across the country by engaging in more one-to-one training and support, backed up by online resources via the new portal.
Four new agency sales 'ambassadors' ? Maeve Carroll, Daniel Clyburn, Tracey Burke and Kathryn Lyon - are already out on the road across the UK, visiting existing agents to ensure they are up-to-date with all the latest developments, including the launch of the new MS Arena from April 2020 and the recently-expanded portfolio of holidays by rail across Europe. The team will support agents the length and breadth of the country with a range of services including brochure supplies, training, booking support, offers and benefits for group bookings.
Sales and business development manager, Tim Fleming, said: "Many agents who are already selling our river cruise products are still less familiar with the growing market for escorted holidays by rail. With our ambassadors giving personalised support, and in a climate where 'no-fly' and lower carbon holidays are increasingly popular, we hope these agents will be tempted to work with us - and earn a favourable commission ? in selling a range of European breaks."
It is intended that the online portal will enable agents to check availability, make or access bookings online and access further resources, with more information due to be available in the new year.
