AmaWaterways unveils 2021 River Cruise Collection

AmaWaterways has announced that its 2021 programme is now on sale and includes a new ship, four new itineraries and new pre- and post-cruise land programmes in some of Europe's most sought-after destinations.

Stuart Perl, managing director for the river cruise line, said: “We are thrilled to unveil our 2021 offerings which will showcase both fantastic new destinations and our award-winning fleet.

“France is a huge focus with AmaKristina moving over to the Rhône to join AmaCello who will embark on a new itinerary exploring both the Burgundy and Provence regions. High demand on the lower Danube has seen us add more departures and we have introduced new land programmes to Geneva and Lake Como, which will delight our loyal repeat guests and attract discerning travellers looking for unique experiences!”

Joining AmaWaterways' European fleet, the new 156-passenger AmaLucia will feature signature twin balconies, connecting staterooms and multiple dining venues including The Chef's Table, among other amenities. Celebrating spring in the Netherlands and Belgium, AmaLucia begins her journey March 16, 2021 sailing a series of Tulip Time cruises before setting sail on the Danube, Rhine, Main and Moselle rivers.

The cruise company has announced the repositioning of three ships – besides AmaKristina moving to the Rhône, AmaDante will join AmaLyra on the Seine and AmaCello will sail a new itinerary on both the Rhône and Saône rivers. Lastly, AmaBella and AmaVerde will rejoin the European fleet sailing the Dutch & Belgian Waterways and the Danube.

In 2021, the river cruise line will debut four new seven-night cruise itineraries – all complemented by pre- or post-cruise land programmes.

In addition, the company will enhance its pre- and post-cruise experiences with a new land extension in the Champagne region of France where guests can visit vineyards and savour tastings of Veuve Clicquot and Moet et Chandon. This land programme will be available as an add-on to Europe's Rivers & Castles, Rhine & Moselle Splendours and Vineyards of the Rhine & Moselle itineraries.

Prices for the 2021 programme start from £1,458 per person for a seven night Colours of Provence cruise from Lyon to Avignon onboard AmaKristina (category E stateroom), departing on December 16, 2021. The price includes flights and transfers.

Seven night cruises on AmaLucia currently start from £1,535 per person for the Rhine and Moselle Splendours cruise from Luxembourg to Basel, departing on November 16, 2021(category E stateroom) including flights and transfers.

All cruises include full board, wine, beer and soft drinks with meals, a choice of excursions & unlimited wifi.
