Ethiopian Airlines will commence flights between Addis Ababa and Manchester from December 11 and has launched a new incentive for travel agents to encourage bookings from Manchester Airport.

Travel agents will be eligible for £25 for every valid Business Class booking they make and £10 per Economy class booking on Manchester flights with the airline. Working in conjunction with Manchester Airport, the incentive is open for all new bookings, runs until January 31, 2019, and is valid for travel between January 1 –May 30, 2019.

Ethiopian Airlines will operate four flights a week between Manchester and Addis Ababa, initially transiting via Brussels, on a modern Boeing 787.  Flights will leave Manchester at 18:05, arriving at Addis Ababa Bole International Airport at 06:45, also providing onward connectivity to more than 58 destinations across the African continent. On the return, it departs Addis Ababa at 00:45 and arrives in Manchester at 06:55.

Michael Yohannes, UK manager for the airline, said: “Manchester is our second gateway in the UK and we are looking forward to connecting the north of England and Scotland (via our code share with Flybe) with Africa. To celebrate the launch, we wanted to work with travel agents to enhance bookings and make the route a great success.”

Payment will be made via a Love2Shop voucher at the end of January once the incentive closes.
